Junior Achievement Day 5: Banking

In today’s lesson, Mr. Handley taught the class all about banking.  Students learned the importance of a check register and how to keep it balanced.  They also learned how to write checks and fill out deposit slips.  Since this was our last session of Junior Achievement this year, Mr. Handley gave each student a certificate to show they completed these important lessons.  The class surprised Mr. Handley with letters and cards thanking him for volunteering his time to teach them this week.

Junior Achievement Day 4: Newspaper Reporters

The students had a lot of fun yesterday learning about journalists.  Mr. Handley taught the class about the 5 W’s and 1 H (who, what, where, when, why, and how), and the students used these question words to help them write articles for different sections of the Junior Achievement News.  Our class reported about business, sports, entertainment, and school news yesterday.
