Permission Slips for May 22nd, PRT are due by Friday, May 18th.
Final PRT for 4th Quarter will be Tuesday, May 22nd. This is also our last full-day of school. Eligible students will be bringing home PRT permission slips about 1-week before the PRT trip.
ISAT TESTING–next week March 6th-9th we will conducting ISAT testing at BJHS. Testing on 7J will be conducted each day from 8:00-11:00am. Due to ISAT testing, the schedule for the week will be different and all classes will not meet everyday. All classes will meet throughout the course of the week, but will be different depending on the day.
Please help your student/child to be at school on time, rested, fed and ready to perform their best on the ISAT tests. If a student arrives after testing has begun they will not be allowed to enter the testing room until the end of the testing period. Any absences during testing will require the student to make up the tests upon their return.
Students may also wish to have a book to read, should they finish testing early, as they are not able to leave the room until the end of the testing period.
If you have any questions let Mr. Stombaugh know. Thanks.

Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving break!
Team Meeting Today with Students—we will be having a team meeting with students today to discuss several items: behavior, academics and the personal responsibility that 7th graders should have at this point in their educational career. We will be breaking the students down into 3 groups: Group 1–is the students who are already doing a great job of being ‘a student’–they will get a big thank you, and hope that they continue to do a great job. Group 2–is students who need some direction in making the right choices. These are often students who are followers, bystanders or are influenced negatively by some of their peers. They will get a ‘pep talk’ to hopefully push them in the right direction. Group 3–are the students who are struggling behaviorially, academically and are having trouble being a 7th grade student. These students will have a talk about what they need to work on as students to improve their educational experience. Feel free to ask your student which meeting they got to take part in.
Mid-Terms–grades are due next week for mid-terms. We are nearly half-way through the 2nd quarter. Updated grades for many classes were posted this week in the pod, hopefully your student has had a chance to check their grade.
PRT for 2nd quarter we normally do right before winter break. Requirements to be eligible for this PRT are no referrals, only 1 detention and be passing all your classes.
Thanks to all the parents and students who came in this week for conferences. We appreciate your involvement and support in your child’s education. Feel free to contact us at other times of the year as well if you have concerns/questions or if you just want to touch base with us about how your child is doing.
We had nearly 100 students Thursday, who went on the PRT trip to the bowling alley and the foodcourt at Eastland Mall. Hopefully just as many (if not more) will be able to join us on our next PRT trip which will be right before winter break.
